As much as we hate to admit it, summer is quickly slipping away. Before we know it, Maine’s short summer will be behind us and it will once again be time to haul out and store our boats. We still have nearly unlimited outdoor storage space, but will need to carefully plan our indoor storage capacity. We accept storage reservations on a “first come - first served” basis with last year’s customers having the first opportunity to reserve a space. If you know that you would like indoor storage for your boat, please contact us as soon as possible.
We’re pleased to say that we will again offer last year’s 7 month storage package (with last year’s prices). We are also able to go another year without an increase to our standard storage rates. They have not increased in the past 3 years. The equipment fees for hauling and launching have also remained unchanged during that time. However, our fuel and equipment operating costs during the past 3 years have increased by over 85%. Regrettably, we will need to increase our hydraulic trailer fee from $4 per ft. to $5 per ft. to offset these increased expenses.
We are instituting a new discount structure for our customers this fall. The new structure gives larger discounts to customers that use more of our services. We have also reinstituted a prepayment discount that was offered many years ago. As one of only 6 Boat US Cooperating marinas in Maine, we also offer discounts to Boat US members. If you can take all of the discounts we offer, you will have a significant savings over our standard rates. See the enclosed sheets for details on the new discounts and our 2008 fall specials. PLEASE NOTE: Do not use bills from past years to plan for current charges. Refer to our current rates and discounts to plan for the charges for services you request. If you have any questions regarding charges and discounts, please ask us BEFORE receiving the services.
Remember that we carry most of the materials and supplies needed for your boat. If you want something for the week-end, we can order it ahead of time and have it here for your Saturday project. This can help you save time, gas, and money!
